Wedding With Lion Dance, Damn Good Food, and Paper Airplanes | Osprey at Belmont Bay

A & J were originally scheduled for their wedding in late March 2020. I remember calling them and worrying that they might fear that I would drop out because of the fear of COVID. I talked with my wife and we decided to go forward with it. I called them on Thursday before their wedding and assured them I would be there. Each day I received a new email about mask mandates, lowering guest count, and ultimately rescheduling. It was rescheduled for year later 2021. Then the highly contagious Omicron variant reared its ugly head and we rescheduled again for 2022.

Then the 2022 wedding happened! I still wore a mask all day (since my wife and I determined it's what is best for our family). But it was a medium sized affair with safety precautions and PPE available if anyone wanted it.

Osprey at Belmont Bay has undergone some serious renovations since I was last there in 2017. My favorite being a wooden sign in the bridal suite that is the lyrics to "Drive" by Incubus (look it up if you don't know it, it's a good song. Not their best. But good for sure. My personal favorite song is "Deep Inside"). This wedding had: a Lion Dance, Horchata ice cream, Boba, bomb-ass wedding cake flavors, and so many smiles and a lot of playfulness. It was a lot of fun!
